An Evening of Cabaret with Celebrate Voice
At the end of October, Memory Fine Art supported an event for the Celebrate Voice community.
It is a pleasure being able to support other members of the local creative community and we were delighted to sponsor an event that was part of the recent Celebrate Voice festival of performances at the purpose built, pop-up Piccolo Theatre which you may have seen residing in Salisbury Market Square in front of the Guildhall for the last couple of weeks.
On the evening of the 26th October, we enjoyed some fantastic performances during the Cabaret Night organised by Celebrate Voice, which included an exclusive double act of award winning artists: Caroline Nin and Miss Hope Springs.
Caroline Nin performed her signature show, PIAF, based on French musical icon Edith Piaf which has sold out shows all over the world. Nin, based in Paris, has been described as ‘breathing new life into familiar anthems’ and left the audience in awe on that Saturday night as they applauded her exquisite talent.
'Nin is a classic femme fatale… a taste of intimacy with one of music’s true angels.' The Guardian
‘Nin…a spine tingling, tear-jerking revelation.’ TimeOut, London
The second act was the amazing Miss Hope Springs, whose ‘cv’ includes performances in Las Vegas, London and Winner of Broadway World’s 2019, Best Cabaret Act! The audience was howling with laughter and it is safe to say that this act was enjoyed thoroughly by all that attended.
‘One of the most important cabaret creations of the decade. Exquisitely funny’ The Stage (Miss Hope Springs)
'The greatest star that never was sings the greatest hits that never were. Fabulously talented' Jonathan Ross BBC Radio 2
We feel it is important that we work together as part of a creative network of artists, across a wide range of disciplines, to support each other and help to promote each other’s work and success.
We were so pleased to have been a part of this wonderful gift to the people of Salisbury – the Piccolo theatre has been a great success and we look forward to the next Celebrate Voice events.
